Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, recently announced that they have welcomed a beautiful baby girl named London Marilyn Hilton Reum. This adorable addition makes their 10-month-old son, Phoenix, a proud big brother!
In a recent interview with Romper, Hilton shared the reason behind keeping her family planning a secret, even from her own relatives. She wanted to shield her son from any negative energy. “My life has always been so public, so out there. I didn’t want my son to come into this world amidst any negative influences,” Hilton explained. “I am really happy that we took this journey privately, just for Carter and me, without the outside world interfering.”

Hilton affectionately refers to her family as “the cutesy crew” and had always dreamed of having a daughter. “I always envisioned having a mini-me, dressing her up in cute little dresses, and enjoying all the mommy-and-me activities we could do together. I wanted my little best friend,” she shared with excitement.
While Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, and her sister, Nicky Hilton, were aware of London’s imminent arrival, they were kept in suspense about the precise timing. Hilton shielded the public from both of her pregnancies by not slowing down her busy schedule. Due to her traumatic past experiences, Hilton opted for a surrogate for both her children, as she feared the childbirth process.
“During my teenage years, I went through significant trauma, including sexual abuse and medical complications while attending a boarding school in Utah,” Hilton revealed. “As a result, I suffer from PTSD. Even a simple doctor’s visit or getting a shot can trigger severe anxiety and panic attacks. I knew it wouldn’t be healthy for me or the baby to go through such high levels of anxiety during pregnancy.”

Looking ahead, Hilton admitted that she will probably be a strict parent, which may be surprising given her past as a fixture on the club scene alongside celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. “It’s a scary world out there, especially today. I’m terrified of the teenage years,” she confessed. Hilton hopes to keep her children as far away from the entertainment industry as possible and would love to see them pursue careers in science.
Hilton refers to this stage of her life as her “mom era.” At 42 years old, she embraces the transformation from her previous party-centric lifestyle and couldn’t be happier. “I used to think my friends who had to go home to their kids and husbands were so lame. I thought my life was so much more exciting. But now, I’m one of those ‘boring’ people, and I couldn’t be happier. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she expressed with genuine joy.
