Who Reigns Supreme: Boys or Girls?

Boys versus girls – a never-ending debate. When it comes to sports, boys often seem to have the upper hand. It’s not about sexism, it’s about the undeniable truth. The Y chromosome gives boys a physical advantage, making them stronger, faster, and braver. Men don’t compete against women in sports because it wouldn’t be a fair match. Our biology and genetic makeup simply surpass any potential skill biases women may possess. And guess what? Testosterone is the game-changer here.

But let’s not forget that boys can also be quite foolish at times. We take unnecessary risks, engaging in silly actions. That’s probably why women tend to outlive men. Our stupidity, however, has its own appeal. There’s something captivating in watching us do the daring and the unconventional. Perhaps it’s our DNA, fueled by testosterone, that drives us towards these endeavors.

A Spark Ignited

Nurturing that spark of curiosity can work to our advantage. Throughout history, men have been at the forefront of exploration, invention, and pioneering endeavors. However, this characteristic can also be seen as a curse, leading to chaos, destruction, and even loss of life.

Using the word “better” is undoubtedly wrong. I sometimes tease my friend Lydia with this argument, but it’s not an accurate description. By the way, if you spot any spelling mistakes or grammar errors in this article, it’s because Lydia refused to proofread it. I might just insert a few deliberately to get on her nerves. But intentional or not, who knows?

This whole debate started when Djokovic made controversial comments about male tennis players deserving higher pay than females. I don’t pay much attention to such comments because the media rarely presents unbiased arguments. They are mere puppets in a larger game, and I won’t let their agendas sway me.

My argument lies in the belief that male-dominated sports deserve more attention because they are more competitive and entertaining to watch. Of course, that statement was meant to provoke, followed by a playful remark about women’s beach volleyball, just to set the stage on fire. But I’m not a Neanderthal. I’d rather watch the best, regardless of gender. In general, male-dominated sports tend to have higher ratings than female-dominated ones. It makes sense for businesses to advertise during male events. After all, they want to invest where they can generate the most revenue, regardless of gender.

Fairness: A Myth?

Is it fair? Well, life isn’t always fair. When a female athlete brings in the same amount of revenue as a male athlete, then they deserve an equal share. So, it’s not about arbitrarily favoring one gender over the other.

“But more money should be invested in women’s sports!” I hear women cry. “Women’s sports should receive equal coverage as men’s!” Absolutely, but why? Sports have traditionally been male-oriented. More men play sports and watch them. Sports have evolved from brutal times when gladiators fought to the death for the crowd’s entertainment. “Are you not entertained?” Sports had a cruel and sadistic beginning. Fighting is in our DNA; sports are just a civilized way of feeding the primitive beast within all of us, men and women alike.

Men are naturally bigger, stronger, and faster, thanks to our DNA and testosterone. Women who excel in competitive sports often have higher testosterone levels than their non-competitive counterparts. Testosterone is the key – it doesn’t make you more skilled, but it allows you to maximize your skills. If you want to ensure your testosterone levels are optimal, consult your doctor and ask for a simple blood test. Hormone Replacement Therapy isn’t exclusively for girls!

So, let’s settle this once and for all. Boys and girls each have their strengths and weaknesses. It’s not a matter of being better; it’s about celebrating our differences and embracing the diverse talents and abilities each gender brings to the table. Let’s enjoy sports for what they are – a testament to the human spirit and a reflection of our competitive nature.
