P-Valley season 3 release date speculation
We don’t think P-Valley will return until mid-late 2024 because season 3 hasn’t started filming.
“I am blessed beyond measure for this opportunity to write the next chapter of P-Valley. With its complex, dynamic, and beautifully flawed characters, this show is a love letter to marginalized communities in the American South who rarely see themselves reflected on screen,” Katori Hall said about the renewal in October 2022.
“It brings me immense joy to know that it has been embraced by folx worldwide. We wouldn’t be getting back up on that pony without our fiercely devoted Pynk Posse. Y’all are our fire.”
We initially expected P-Valley to return in the summer of 2023, but the 2023 Writers Strike and Screen Actor’s Guild strike made that impossible, especially since production was halted back in May 2023. The writers had reportedly finished penning the season, but production in earnest had not started.

One major change in the P-Valley for season 3 is Elarica Johnson’s departure. Otherwise, the main players in the cast should be intact.
After the events of season 2, Johnson’s character Autumn Night decides to move away from Chucalissa. On X, showrunner Katori Hall said, “Autumn came in on the wind and that is exactly how she left. The strip club is a revolving door, so many women come and go. Autumn was saved by The Pynk and she saved The Pynk. Goodbye, Ms. Autumn Night. #PValley will never be the same.

P-Valley season 3’s plot could focus on Uncle Clifford and Mercedes. Uncle Clifford and Lil Murda have taken their relationship to the next level, going public with their love, while Mercedes will have to grapple with retiring.
P-Valley season 2 floated the idea that everyone moves on from the Pynk in some shape or form. The club was vital to them all at one point or another, but eventually, they had to decide the next step for themselves.
