Firestone – The Colorado Department of Transportation will be closing access to the East I-25 Frontage Road from Colorado Highway 119 starting Feb. 12 to allow crews to place a deep storm sewer pipe across the road and other intersection work with the least impact on CO 119 traffic.
The closure will be in place until March 15. A posted detour that goes through town has been approved by Firestone.

“We understand that this closure will impact drivers and businesses in that area, but this work needs to be done, and a partial closure of the road would only extend the construction duration and create significant traffic delays at an already congested intersection,” said CDOT Northeast Colorado Regional Transportation Director Heather Paddock.
