The 53rd Annual Vrbo Fiesta Bowl will feature a historic matchup between No. 23 Liberty and No. 8 Oregon, for the first time ever.
This will be the fourth time Oregon will be making a Fiesta Bowl appearance, and the second in four seasons.
The Ducks have won two of those, in 2002 and 2013.
In their last appearance in 2021 they lost to Iowa State, 34-17.
On the flip side, Liberty earned its first New Year’s Six bowl berth in school history and in Conference USA history.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl is one of the oldest bowl games in history. Its first edition dates back to 1935.
This year, the traditional game will double as a College Football Playoffs semifinal and will feature the Washington Huskies (No. 2) and the Texas Longhorns (No. 3).
The winner of this year’s game, the 90th annual Sugar Bowl Classic, will move on to the College Football Playoff Championship that is scheduled for Monday, January 8, in Houston.
