When Is Suge Knight Getting Out

San Diego, CA –

Suge Knight has claimed that he deserves to be released from prison early after allegedly having his civil rights violated.

The former Death Row Records boss accused a judge of not allowing him to represent himself in his 2018 voluntary manslaughter case in an interview with AllHipHop.

Suge suggested that he was essentially forced to take an unfavorable plea deal for the deadly 2015 hit-and-run, which killed Terry Carter and injured actor/filmmaker Cle Sloan, after incorrectly having three strikes against his record.

Knight was ultimately sentenced to 28 years behind bars.

“So an unfixable error, the only thing you got to do is you got to make a deal and let me go home or show I was right or you let me take my plea back and start all over,” he said. “But it’d be harder to start all over because you did all this with my case.

“This [is] my bed. If they allowed me to go to trial, I would have won my case. I would have beat my case. But they didn’t. Okay, I understand that, right? My crime carries two, six, 11 [years], if I was guilty.

“They gave me — naturally, they going to give me the high term, right? So my past, who I am, definitely is going to make sure I get some time. And I’m fine with that. But you don’t have the right to double me up.”

He continued: “You don’t have the right to give me time and a half. You don’t have the right to not let me have a lawyer. So, I wasn’t pushing the envelope as hard at first because I know I got to do some time. But I’ve been gone for nine years, so I did my time already.”

Tthe former record executive is currently locked up at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California. He recently told TMZ over the phone that he won’t be testifying against Duane “Keefe D” Davis in the 2Pac murder case.

“Well, surprise, number one,” Suge said while reacting to Keefe D’s recent arrest. “Because I don’t think Keefe D would ever get arrested, nor do I want to see him get arrested.

“Let’s get one thing straight, first and foremost: me and Keefe D played on the same Pop Warner football team. And whatever circumstances — if he had an involvement with anything, if he didn’t have an involvement with anything, I wouldn’t wish somebody going to prison on my worst enemy.”

Knight also claimed that Keefe D’s nephew, Orlando Anderson, was not the shooter, contrary to popular belief.

“There were only two people in the car; ‘Pac’s not gonna tell the story, I ain’t gonna tell the story,” said Suge, who was sat next to 2Pac and also wounded during the fatal 1996 drive-by shooting.

“But I can tell you this: I never had nothing bad to say about Orlando because […] he wasn’t the shooter [..] It wasn’t Anderson, so that’s all I got to say about that part.”
