Shayla Reaves Biography
Shayla Reaves is an American journalist currently working as an anchor and reporter for WCCO. She joined the station in December of 2020. Previously, she co-anchored evening newscasts for WNCT-TV (CBS). Reaves is a native of Tennessee and before WNCT, she reported in Columbus, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky, and most recently Tampa, Florida. During her stay in Tampa, she reported news overnight for the market’s #1 rated morning show. Moreover, she also appeared countrywide for live reports as requested.
While in Ohio, Reaves earned an Emmy for breaking news coverage of a train derailment and explosion. As well, Shayla has also received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Associated Press.
