Keep an eye out because Novlan is featured in yet another commercial for the company. In the new ad, current promoter, Doug, can be seen practicing his lines while his sidekick, LiMu Emu, pecks around the food table behind the scenes. Suddenly, “the struggling actor,” who fans can asset to isn’t struggling in soapland, appears on set, which leaves Doug snapping at the directors and producers, “You’re replacing me?”
In daytime terms, we call this a recast, and Novlan’s character immediately stepped in and nailed his lines. But Doug wasn’t done protesting and yelled, “He doesn’t even have a mustache!”
As the day of filming went on, Doug kept interjecting as Novlan’s guy ran another set of lines and gasped, “That’s LiMu’s line,” to which his replacement repeated — and irritated him further — “That’s LiMu’s line.”
And in another shot, Doug tried to coach him into properly saying, “Customize and save with Liberty Mutual.” But Novlan’s alter ego insisted on using his spin and stated, “Customize and save with Liberty Biberty.”

With all of that drama, you’d think they were on a soap set. And the final result didn’t leave Doug feeling good about his replacement. See why for yourself…
It was neat — and fun — to see Novlan go back to his roots, if you will.
