Where Did Brandon Roux Go

Sunday marked meteorologist Brandon Roux’s last day at Local 4 News, according to Click on Detroit.

The announcement of Roux’s departure from WDIV-TV (Channel 4) was made just hours before his final broadcast. Roux took to Facebook to encourage readers to tune in one last time, saying, “Do you like music? Tune into Local 4 News for… my Swan Song. My last hour on air at WDIV is underway Sunday morning.”

Roux did not disclose the reason for his departure in his Facebook post. Local 4, in their farewell message to Roux, similarly provided no clues as to why the meteorologist was leaving the station, stating “Local 4 wishes Brandon Roux all the best in his next opportunity.”

Following Sunday morning’s weather report, Brandon Roux said his goodbyes to audience members before being cut-off, according to a video shared in a comment under Roux’s post by Facebook user Steve Muller.

“I really did do it all for you guys at home, but I also just wanted to say one thing that’s been bothering me over the last few months, and that is some unfair, especially social media play that’s been really unfair to the weather team, especially Kim Adams,” Roux says in the video.

Roux goes on to explain some of his concerns and is cut-off mid-sentence.
