I didn’t even care when he left my apartment, I groaned as I looked at those bills I need to pay, I don’t have money to pay all my bills which is very frustrating and the only thing which is left is crying. My phone started ringing somewhere around, I searched for it before it ends I picked it up.
“Hello, Jasmine Gibson speaking.”
“Hello Ms Gibson, I’m Iris. The reason I contacted you miss is because we have a job which you may need,” the lady on the other side spoke, I pulled the phone away from my ear and checked the caller id. It’s not a spam call.
“Okay? What job is it?” I asked her. I don’t remember applying for new job positions.
“Ms Gibson if you are free, can we meet in person? I will explain the details in person.”
“Sure, send me the location.” As soon as I ended the call I received a message from the mysterious lady. If I was in a stable position I would’ve ended the call and never went there. But I’m in a desperate situation of money.
I washed my face and changed into a white button-up shirt which I tucked in in my denim jeans. I brushed my auburn hair into a high ponytail. Applying the nude lipstick and putting on my yellow sandals I walked of my apartment. I like fashion and clothes which kinda brings so much attention.

Reaching the place I messaged the lady as I took a seat and gazed around as that’s the only thing left. Soon I watched a slender lady dressed in classy clothes walking towards where I sat. I’m impressed by the way she dressed, she looked like a sophisticated lady compared to my clumsiness. I stood up as she stretched out her hand which I shook.
“Iris, I’m glad that you came,” she spoke glancing over my clothes. She nodded her head in approval I guess.
“You’ve to come if you are in need of a job.” She laughed softly as I said that.
“I know everything about you Ms Gibson, the reason why I choose you for this job is because of your previous work records.” She crossed her legs over sitting up straight as she spoke to me. Something about this lady intrigues me.

“First of all what job is this?”
“Baby caretaker.” I looked at her as if she lost her mind.
“Sorry to say this I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else,” I stated as I was ready to leave. She smiled at me softly which is kind of sinister.
“You were a nutritionist cook, you left the job because of your manager. Twenty-four years old, not good at relations as all of your boyfriends left because of your clumsiness. Disowned by the family as you didn’t marry the guy they choose for you. There are bills to pay and you have a negative bank balance.” My mouth dropped and anger flared in me, how dare she is to investigate my personal matters.
“Look Ms Iris, I may not have a job right now and there may be bills to pay. I will get the job I need. It is illegal to research about someone, I am not here to babysit someone.” I replied standing up.
“One million dollars if you say yes.” My mouth drops open looking at the lady.
“What? Are you kidding me? One million dollars for babysitting? Did you lost your mind or you trying to make me a fool? Is this a prank?” I looked at the woman in bewilderment. I look around to see if there any cameras filming the whole thing. These youtube kids tend to go to lengths pranking on people. I saw a few prank videos on youtube.
“I’m perfectly normal Ms Gibson, I’m not trying to make you a fool. The babysitting as you called includes taking care of the baby’s nutrition diet and a few other things.”

“If you are ready for the job then I will tell you about other things.” I thought about it, I never have seen a million dollars in my whole life, I don’t have to work anymore if I got that money, I could easily start my own business.
“Okay.” I agreed, she pulled out a file from her bag and placed it in front of me.
“This is the contract, which includes that you will take care of the baby from tomorrow onwards, you have to be there for the kid for one year. You need to move to the place where the baby is, you should cut all ties and prevail there without anyone knowing where you are. Your phone is not allowed, you will be provided with a new one.”
“But? Can’t I stay in my own place? I can drive there every day.”
“No Ms Gibson, it’s a confidential matter and we don’t want you to travel.” I go through the file, read the conditions.
“Okay, where I need to sign.” I signed the papers before standing up.
“Our driver will be there at your place tomorrow morning, you will be escorted by them and pack everything you need.” I bid my goodbyes before driving to my home as I need to pack my clothes.
I don’t have any close persons with whom I need to cut my ties, I had a few friends back at work but not anymore. I dated like four boys but those datings only lasted for weeks.
