When Is The Cleveland Air Show

If you’re in Cleveland for Labor Day Weekend 2023, consider this fair warning that you’re entering the Danger Zone. That’s right, the Cleveland National Air Show, one of the oldest annual air shows in the country, returns to Burke Lakefront Airport in Downtown Cleveland, Sept. 2 – 4, 2023. Join more than 100,000 spectators in the shadow of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as you experience the thrilling sights and deafening roar of the best in aviation spectacle.

Not sure what to expect? Don’t worry, we’ve got your six.

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds

The legendary U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds return to Cleveland for an aerial showcase that blows away audiences year after year, and we’re not just talking about the sonic booms. Each show day, the six select Thunderbird demonstration pilots will put their distinct red, white and blue F-16 Fighting Falcon jet fighters through a choreographed 50 minute performance at speeds up to 500 mph and as close as three feet from each other. Now that’s what we call “high” art. (See what we did there?)

Jet Demos Galore

The fun doesn’t stop at the Thunderbirds. The Air Force pulls double duty with their F-22 Raptor Demo, while the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy get in on the fun with their Harrier and super Hornet Demos, respectively. The Aeroshell Aerobatic Team takes to the sky in vintage T-6 Texans for aerial routines that will thrill and delight, while Tom Larkin’s Mini Jet proves size isn’t everything in aerobatics.
