It’s no secret that Blake Shelton has many memorable performances under his cowboy belt. But no one can deny that one of his most legendary career highlights was when The Voice Coach collaborated with jazz’s slickest vocalist, Michael Bublé, for a jaw-dropping duet of the hit “Home.” Once upon a time, two of jazz and country music’s best vocalists teamed up for a chilling performance.
Let’s rewind, shall we? The year is 2008, many years before Shelton decided to take a seat in the red chair as a Voice Coach. Canadian musicians David Foster and Bublé were performing for a concert when they introduced Shelton to the stage for a duet of “Home.”

Bublé penned the tune, releasing the track on his 2005 album It’s Time. The song is centered around building a home and missing your family, making it the perfect candidate for a country Artist like Shelton. Shelton released a cover of the song in 2007, included on his album Pure BS. Shelton and Bublé were natural collaborators, making their 2008 live show a treat. (Watch the video of the performance here!)
Shelton and Bublé look like babies in the throwback video, where Shelton smiles while approaching the stage. The pair instantly clicked as they started the song, with Bublé’s silky vocals and Shelton’s rustic timbre making for the perfect combination. Shelton and Bublé tease each other throughout the ballad and allow their vocals to speak for themselves.
