After this successful outing, she moved to LA with her mother in search of more acting gigs. In 2013, she landed a role in the Low Winter Sun series. In 2015, she got her first starring role in a movie, A Girl Like Grace, the story was about a poor Haitian-American girl who lived in a trailer park in Mississippi and mourned the suicide of her best friend.

Her performance in A Girl Like Grace further bolstered her budding reputation. In June 2015, the film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival. The performance that had the biggest impact on his young career was his performance in Star, an American television series created by Tom Donaghy and Lee Daniels for Fox. The story is built around the journey of three young girls on a quest to become star singers. The three girls were played by Jude Demorest, Brittany O’Grady and Ryan Destiny.
