Legend joined “The Voice” as a coach in season 16, but took last season off before rejoining the crew for season 24. His lone win came in season 16 with Maelyn Jarmon.

Eighteen artists have received the elusive EGOT. Legend joined the ranks in 2018, a list that includes Viola Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg and others.

Legend earned an Emmy for producing the 2018 NBC show, “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.” He was nominated for his lead role, but did not win the acting award. His co-producing on August Wilson’s “Jitney” earned him an Tony, and he won an Oscar for his and Common’s original song, “Glory,” which was in the 2014 film “Selma.” He also has 12 Grammys under his belt.

Legend was the first Black man to achieve EGOT status.
