When Is Carencro Parade 2023

The Carencro Mardi Gras Association is excited to announce the return of its much-anticipated annual Mardi Gras parade to the streets of Carencro on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.

Starting at 11:00 am, the parade will commence in the 700 block of W. Butcher Switch Road, making its way right onto LA Hwy 182 (N. University Ave.), and concluding at Debutante Road. Paradegoers are encouraged to mark their calendars for a day of Mardi Gras celebration.

However, in preparation for this grand event, the Carencro Police Department urges the community to make sure they are aware of important public service announcements. Chief David Anderson emphasizes the necessity of these measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Key Information for Parade Attendees:

– Road Closures: Roads along the parade route will be closed starting at 10:00 am. No vehicular movement will be allowed once closures are in effect.

– Parking Restrictions: To maintain safety and order, parking along the parade route will only be permitted from daylight on the morning of the parade. Vehicles, including trailers, blocking the route will face towing at the owner’s expense.

– Arrival Time: Parade-goers are advised to arrive early to secure their spots, as the parade is expected to last around three hours.

It’s an opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Carencro Mardi Gras in one of the best local community settings.
