Where To Spend Red Dust Diablo 4

Red Dust is a currency you get by purifying Seeds of Hatred exclusively in the PvP zones in Diablo 4 (D4) and can be spent on Mounts, cosmetics, and other rewards.

  1. Farm Seeds of Hatred in PvP: Fields of Hatred
  2. Purify Seeds of Hatred at Altar of Extraction

D4 Red Dust

  • Red Dust: Used to purchase items from PvP Vendors in Dry Steppes and Kehjstan.
  • Earned from Altars of Extraction by successfully purifying Seeds of Hatred.
  • Seed of Hatred are only obtainable in PvP zones.

Red Dust is a type of currency in Diablo IV. Red Dust is obtained from Seeds of Hatred. Unlike the seeds, Red Dust is not dropped by the player if they are killed in Fields of Hatred. Red Dust can be spent at PvP cosmetic and mount vendors for ornamental rewards.

Diablo 4 Seeds of Hatred

Seeds of Hatred can be converted to Red Dust at the Altar of Extraction. Once converted, Red Dust cannot be stolen from you if you are killed in PvP combat.

Diablo 4 Altar of Extraction

Once you’re satisfied with the amount of Seeds of Hatred you’ve managed to gather, it’s time to refine them into Red Dust, which can be done at any of the four Altars of Extraction within each Field of Hatred. Interact with an Altar of Extraction to start the purification process, which takes 50 seconds to complete. During this time, you’ll have to fight off waves of enemies (and potentially other players looking to steal your Seeds)!

With the purification process complete, you now have your precious Red Dust, which you can spend freely at certain vendors in the PvP towns. There is no max on how much Red Dust you can hold, so save up as much as you want for a big purchase.

Fields of Hatred

Born from their contempt of mortals, Mephisto has cursed specific areas of Sanctuary, transforming them into deadly Fields of Hatred. These designated PvP zones are the proving grounds for players looking to bring renown to their name through blood and zeal. While inside the Fields of Hatred, players can dispatch demons to collect Seeds of Hatred. To make use of these seeds, you’ll need to bring them to the Altar of Extraction where they can be smashed into Red Dust. Be quick to convert your Seeds of Hatred to Red Dust—they are the desire of other players lurking in the zone, and if they are skilled enough to overtake you in combat, your Seeds of Hatred will be dropped.

Going through the trouble of transforming Seeds of Hatred into Red Dust does have its merits. Red Dust will not be lost if you are felled. It can also be spent at the PvP Cosmetic and Mount Vendors for ornamental rewards. Will you be able to forge a name for yourself in these tainted lands?
