Fortnite Chapter 4 Season reintroduced brand-new Vaults across the Island, each one filled with chests and incredibly rare loot.
Fortunately, getting to them is incredibly easy and won’t take too much of your time. Unlocking them, however, is going to be a little trickier.

Don’t worry, though! We’ve listed absolutely everything you need to know about finding and opening the Vaults in Fortnite, including where to locate the very necessary Vault Keycards.
Every Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Vault Location
There are seven Vaults that can appear in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. They are located at:
- Eastern Watch
- Brutal Bastion
- Shattered Slabs
- Secluded Spire
- Meadow Mansion
- Mega City
- Loot Island
In every match, three randomly selected Vaults from the list above will appear mid-game in their set locations. The Loot Island Vault will appear a little later, after the third Storm Circle.
Their locations will appear on your map with a silver circular icon with a blue outline indicating their position.
Eastern Watch Vault
The Eastern Watch Vault is located slightly Northeast of The Citadel in the basement of the watchtower.
Brutal Bastion Vault
The Brutal Bastion Vault is located in the Northernmost section of the Brutal Bastion building on the bottom floor.

Shattered Slabs Vault
The Shattered Slabs Vault is located on the Northwest side of the Shattered Slabs POI on top of a hill Southwest of the buildings.
Secluded Spire Vault
The Secluded Spire Vault is located Southwest of Slappy Shores in the basement of the large building.
Meadow Mansion
The Meadow Mansion Vault is located West of Frenzy Fields on the bottom floor of the mansion building.
Mega City Vault
The Mega City Vault is located on the Northeast side of the Mega City POI to the right of a small garage.
Loot Island Vault
The Loot Island Vault is located beneath the house on the floating Loot Island POI. Loot Island spawns in a random location every match but can be identified by the large blue outline on the map (see below).
How to Open Vaults in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

To open a vault in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, you will need to take 1 Vault Keycard to the console next to the vault.
The only exception is the Vault on Loot Island which requires two regular keys to open.
Once you’ve used the Vault Keycard, the light above the Vault door will turn green, and the door will slowly open.
It will make a loud sound, so be prepared for nearby players to hear it and come searching for you.
How to Get Vault Keycards in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3
The only way to get Vault Keycards in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is to defeat the Highcard boss. There is a Highcard boss accompanied by two goons roaming near every Vault.
You can find its location on your map by searching for the Highcard face icon with a blue outline near the Vault.
The Highcard boss only spawns in the middle of the match alongside the Vaults. So, you will have to wait for him to appear before you can get the Keycard.
The Highcard boss is in a black suit, and his goons are in white suits. You must first down the Highcard boss and then eliminate him if any of his goons are still alive.
Even if you kill the Highcard boss, his goons will continue to attack you. So, make sure you take them out first or immediately after defeating the Highcard boss.
Once the Highcard boss has been eliminated, he will drop the Vault Keycard alongside a his Mythic Assault Rifle.
