After all, it’s the first location where Harry and Sally touched down in the big city after their road trip from Chicago. They might have parted ways here, but their story was far from over. In one of the final scenes, it’s here that Harry realizes his love for Sally. Loeb Boathouse

Remember when Harry and Sally plotted to set each other up with their best friends Jess and Marie? That night, Jess and Marie went home together instead and…well, the rest is history. The location of the failed double date is at Café Luxembourg, a restaurant on the Upper West Side that serves French-inspired comfort food.
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Address: 1000 5th Avenue and East 82nd Street, Manhattan
Legend has it you can still hear Harry and Sally’s silly voices saying “pepper,” “paprikash,” and “pecan piiie” echoing in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Find out for yourself, because you can visit the exhibit where this hilariously improvised bit happened. Located in The Sackler Wing, the Temple of Dendur is an actual ancient Egyptian monument inscribed with hieroglyphics. Next to the temple sits a peaceful reflecting pool meant to represent the Nile River. When you go to the Met, make sure to stop by this special site.
Katz’s Delicatessen

In one of the most notorious scenes in the movie, Sally puts on quite a show during lunch hour at a bustling New York deli. At Katz’s Delicatessen in the Lower East Side, you can see a sign dangling from the ceiling reading, “Where Harry met Sally…Hope you have what she had!” It points to the exact table where Meg Ryan delivered her memorable performance. While you’re there, make sure to pick up some of Katz’s specialty menu items including pastrami sandwiches, pickles, matzoh ball soup, steak fries, and more. Yum!
Bethesda Terrace & Fountain

Lace up your running shoes and trace Harry and Jess’s footsteps to Bethesda Terrace. The popular Central Park attraction features a gorgeous fountain and an intricate, two-level terrace with architecture dating back to 1859. The upper level boasts scenic views while musicians take advantage of the lower passage’s acoustics to serenade park visitors.
The Plant Shed
Address: 209 West 96th Street and Broadway, Manhattan
Twice in the movie, Sally is spotted lugging a Christmas tree from this Upper West Side plant shop. The first time, Harry assists her in carrying it up the snowy block while the second time—in the aftermath of their temporary falling out—she drags it alone. The store has since been rebranded as PlantShed and has been relocated to just around the corner from the original location. The plant shop doubles as a café, so after snapping some pics of the iconic storefront, you can head over to the new location and grab yourself a coffee and a succulent (or three!).

Jess and Marie’s wedding was filmed on the seventh floor in the historic Puck Building, an NYC landmark and now a residential building in NYC’s NoLIta neighborhood.
