When was the Carnival Magic Built? The Carnival Magic was built in 2011 and joined the cruise line’s Dream Class.

Carnival includes 26 active ships. The oldest in the fleet was built in 1996. The average Carnival ship is 16 years old and the median build date for all active ships is 2007

When was the last Carnival Magic Dry Dock? The Carnival Magic experienced dry dock improvements in 2016.

Renovations included the following: The Carnival Magic was refurbished In May of 2021. The dry dock was completed in Marseille, France. During this time, the Magic received mostly technical improvements but also a bit of flare as well. Most notably, the redesigned red, white and blue hull artwork. The drydock also included the expansion of the casino and upgrade to WaterWorks and the ship’s pools. Prior to the 2021 dry dock, the Carnival Magic was refurbished in February, 2016. During this dry dock session, the Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades were applied, including: Guy’s Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, Alchemy Bar, The Library Bar, Red Frog Rum Bar, and The Punchliner Comedy Club.
