How To Apply Relaxer With Gloved Hands

RELAXER APPLICATION METHOD.

You will need the following.

Timer, hand glove, plastic comb, scissors, towel, stir stick and plastic bowl.

—-Examine the scalp for wounds and rashes.

—-Ask your client the following question

** When did you wash your hair last?

** When did you retouch your hair last?

** When did you bleach your hair last?

** When did you lose your breads?

**Are you using an anti dandruff shampoo?

**When did you color your hair last?

** Did you scratch your scalp recently?

This entire question to know the condition of your client hair and scalp.

PROCEDURE OF RELAXER APPLICATION.

1. Comb the hair with a large tooth comb.
2. Apply a protective gel all around the hair line, ear area and on to the nap area.
3. Apply a pre relaxer treatment if any.
4. Mix the cream relaxer with activator liquid.
5. Start applying with a relaxer application brush or back of a plastic comb.

APPLICATION FOR A VIRGING HAIR.

Part the hair in four (4) sections and start applying by dividing smaller sections from one of the four sections.

Start from back of the head (i.e.) the nap area to the front of the head (i.e.) crown area.

TOUCH UP APPLICATION.

Start from back of the head (ie) nap area to front of the head (ie) the crown area.

Part the hair in smaller by smaller sections and apply un till all the hair is covered.

NB. From the back at the nap areas part the hair smaller by smaller sections and apply the relaxer from back to front.

As soon as the application of relaxer is completed.

Massage the relaxer into hair for evenly distribution.

Avoid overlapping to the previously relaxed hair in case of touch up.

When massage is completed, start combing and smoothing.

Following the time guide, after smoothing allow the hair till the normal processing time.

When the processing time is completed, rinse out the relaxer product from the hair using water.

When you rinse out all traces of relaxer, and then wash out with a neutralizing shampoo.

Follow the color indicator to make sure that you wash out all traces of relaxer from the hair to avoid hair problem.

When washing is over apply generous amount of hair conditioner product on hair massage and leave for five (5) minutes then rinse out.

Towels dry the hair and style as you desire.
