So… Where Are Yeezys Made?
Short answer: Adidas mostly produced Yeezys in China.

The longer answer: Yeezys fell under the Adidas umbrella, so when we ask where are Yeezys made, we’re also wondering about Adidas. Now, you can find Adidas factories all over the world, specifically China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, Myanmar, Cambodia, Italy, Argentina, Lesotho, India, and the United States. I mean, we don’t expect anything different since we already know where Nike shoes come from. However, not all of these places produced Yeezys.
Although most Yeezy silhouettes come from China, there are some exceptions. For example, the Yeezy 450 is a German product! And that’s not all, especially since Kanye wanted to move Yeezy production to the USA. The first product that we got from there (and the last), is the Yeezy Foam Runner! It’s really not much of a mystery as to why big companies produce from China mainly. The cost of production and labor in countries like China is much lower than in Europe and others. Moreover, access to raw materials is easier and cheaper. In other words, why spend so much money when you can spend a lot less and make a lot more?

Back in 2019, Kanye West made a pretty groundbreaking announcement. He said he plans to make his manufacturing eco-friendly and sustainable. He also wanted to move it all to the Americas in the next two years. That includes production in Cody, Wyoming, the location of his ranch. It’s been two years since this announcement, and the closest we got to sustainability was the Foam Runners. In fact, what we actually got is a breakup… what a bummer.
Does the Production Location Affect the Price Tag?
You see, we don’t wanna throw shade, but brands go for Chinese production because of the cheap labor costs. So, that explains why it took a lot of time for the US move to happen. You see, when production moves to a place like the US or Germany, the kicks would cost more. You can see a full breakdown of the costs here. Sadly, we will never know how that would have panned out since Adidas Yeezy is off the table now.
