How to get the Green Hell Grappling Hook

Starting off at your Shelter, the first thing you need to do is call Mia and have a chat with her – while you head vaguely east. After crossing a few rivers and climbing a few logs you’ll hit a wall with a ‘climbing place’, which requires a grappling hook to get up. You’ll then get the mission “explore the jungle to find the Grappling Hook”. Unfortunately this is a survival game, so it’s not going to be a simple matter of following a waypoint. Head back to the Shelter and save.
You’ll then need to call Mia again, then head up north to the Shrine, that if you found it was previously blocking your path. It’s now open. Climb through and head right, then keep going forward until you hit a dirt road. Follow it for a while, and you’ll hit a small bridge and a crashed jeep – which will get marked on your map. Tell Mia about it, and make sure to collect all the fuel.

Head north-east, and eventually you’ll reach a cliff that overlooks a large area. Head right along it and into a cave, where you’ll find an elevator that heads down to the forest floor. Use the fuel on the generator and you can head down. Talk to Mia again about it.
When you’re at the floor, follow the wooden path until you reach a dig site/camp of some kind. Look at the back of the site, and on a bench you’ll find the Grappling Hook! You can now explore as you will – there’s a lot of things to find in this area, including places to sleep – or you can head all the way back to the start and use the grapple to progress to Lambda-2. It’s up to you, just make sure you have plenty of bandages on hand. Now go exploring Green Hell!
