When you first approach the area around the Rosymorn Monastery, you must fight and defeat the Ancient Giant Eagle in Baldur’s Gate 3. While taking down the Giant Eagle could be avoided altogether, it’s necessary to complete the Stained Glass Puzzle and obtain the Dawnmaster’s Crest. After you make it past the portion of the Rosymorn Monastery where the drunk Kobolds are partying, you can climb up the side of the monastery using some vines, and you will find a large magic device, a massive eagle next, and two Giant Eagles waiting to attack you. Finding the Giant Eagles in BG3
To find the Giant Eagles, you should first make your way to the Rosymorn Monastery. From there, climb into the window to the left of the door that is impossible to lockpick at the main entrance. There, you’ll find yourself surrounded by drunk Kobolds. They’ll be pretty easy to take down.

Once you’ve cleared the area of Kobolds, head up the stairs in the back of the room, and jump over to the rock near the ledge. From there, you should climb up the vines and look for the large magic device. Just to the left of the giant device, you will see an Ancient Giant Eagle standing in a nest in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, one more Giant Eagle will be standing to the right of the giant device.

Once your battle with the Giant Eagles begins, you should focus on the largest eagle, the Ancient Giant Eagle. Whenever the Ancient Giant Eagle is not engaged in combat, it will call for help, and more Giant Eagles will appear, making the battle much more difficult.
It’s important to remember that the Ancient Giant Eagle has a weakness to fire. Make sure you use your fire-based abilities and fire arrows whenever possible. Another great alternative is to use Alchemist’s Fire in between attacks.
Additionally, since Ancient Giant Eagles can fly, they become a harder target for ranged attacks. The best way to make sure this doesn’t happen is to use spells to paralyze the Giant Eagles as often as possible.

Once you’ve defeated the Ancient Giant Eagle in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can collect Eagle feathers from each of their bodies. You should also head to the eagle nest and collect the Ceremonial Warhammer.
