1 skein Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted – #880 Charcoal (Main Color) Small amounts of Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted – #037, Impasse Yellow ( A ), #0338, Pepper ( B ), #107, Silver Sage ( C ), #022, Blue Knight ( D ), #121, Tornado Teal ( E ), #308 Sunburst Gold ( F ), #200, Bordeaux ( G ) US 5 (3.75 mm) 32″ (81.3 cm) circular needles, 2 US 5 (3.75 mm) DPNs, set of 4 Darning needle Stitch holder, or waste yarn Stitch markers

Gauge
24 stitches per 4″ (10 cm)
Final Measurements
7.5″ (19.1 cm) circumference (Approximately a Women’s size Medium)
Instructions
Cast on 44 stitches in Main Color (MC).
Arrange evenly on two circular needles.
Place marker at beginning of round and join.
Cuff Work K1, P1 ribbing for 3″ (7.6 cm).
Change to stockinette stitch.
Palm Knit one row, increasing one stitch at the end of the row. (45 stitches).
Knit one round even.
Thumb Gusset On needle 1, knit across 22 stitches.
Place marker, make one left.
On needle 2, K1, make one right.
Place marker, knit to end. (47 stitches; 3 gusset stitches between markers)
Knit 1 round even.
Knit 1 increase round (K to marker, slip marker, make one left, k to next marker, make on right, slip marker, knit to end)
Increase in this manner every fourth round, until you have 15 stitches between markers.
On the next round, place the stitches between the markers on the stitch holder.
Remove markers, and increase 1 stitch on the left hand needle to close the gap.
Knit to the end of the round. (45 stitches)
Continue in stockinette stitch until the palm of the glove measures 3.5″ (8.9 cm) above ribbing.
Little Finger (Hufflepuff) Work across first 6 stitches.
Use circular needle to hold next 34 stitches.

Use a backward loop to CO 1 stitch to close the gap.
Work the last 5 stitches. (12 stitches)
Arrange stitches evenly on 3 DPNs and knit 4 rows.
Change to color A.
Knit stripes as follows: 2 rows color A 3 rows color B 2 rows color A
Resume knitting with MC until total length measures 2″ (5.1 cm) or to the tip of the finger.
K2tog all the way around.
Break yarn, draw tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and weave in.
Continue Palm Join yarn at base of little finger.
Pick up and knit 2 sts along cast on edge of little finger, then continue knitting hand on remaining live stitches. (36 total stitches)
Knit two rounds.
Ring Finger (Ravenclaw) Place first 6 stitches and last 6 stitches on DPN.
Use circular needle to hold remaining stitches.

Join yarn at base of middle finger.
Pick up and knit 2 stitches along side of little finger, then knit across first DPN.
Use a backward loop to CO 1 stitch to close the gap between DPNs and knit to end. (15 stitches)
Arrange sts evenly on 3 dpn and knit 6 rows.
Change to color C.
Knit stripes as follows: 2 rows color C 3 rows color D 2 rows color C
Resume knitting with MC until total length measures 2.5″ (6.4 cm), or to the tip of the finger.
K2tog all the way around, ending k3tog.
Break yarn, draw tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and weave in.
Middle Finger (slytherin) Place first 6 stitches and last 6 stitches on DPN.
Use circular needle to hold remaining stitches.

Join yarn at base of middle finger.
Pick up and knit 2 stitches along side of little finger, then knit across first DPN.
Use a backward loop to CO 1 stitch to close the gap between DPNs and knit to end.
Change to color C.
Knit stripes as follows: 2 rows color C 3 rows color E 2 rows color C
Resume knitting with MC until total length measures 2.75″ (7.0 cm), or to the tip of the finger.
K2tog all the way around, ending k3tog.
Break yarn, draw tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and weave in.
Index Finger (Gryffindor) Distribute remaining 12 stitches evenly between DPNs.

Join yarn at base of middle finger.
Pick up and knit 2 stitches along side of little finger, then knit across first DPN.
Use a backward loop to CO 1 stitch to close the gap between DPNs and knit to end. (14 stitches)
Arrange stitches evenly on 3 DPNs and knit 6 rows.
Change to color F.
Knit stripes as follows: 2 rows color F 3 rows color G 2 rows color F
Resume knitting with MC until total length measures 2.5″ (6.4 cm), or to the tip of the finger.
K2tog all the way around. Break yarn, draw tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and weave in.
Thumb Place held stitches on dpn.
Arrange as evenly as possible on 3 DPNs and work until the thumb measures 1.75″ (4.4 cm).
K2tog all the way around, ending k3tog.
Finishing
Weave in loose ends, using yarn tails to sew shut any gaps.
Knit a second glove to match the first.
