The Best Man: The Final Chapters was filmed in New York, New Jersey, and the Dominican Republic.

Principal photography kicked things off in March 2022 and general filming concluded later in July. When filming in New York, the cast and crew utilized a range of ideal locations in New York City.
More specifically, The Cinemaholic reports that both Brooklyn and Manhattan feature prominently across the eight episodes, so those familiar with the areas will surely spot certain locations. For example, Jane’s Carousel on New Dock Street in Brooklyn makes an appearance, as does Lower Manhattan’s York Street in Lower Manhattan.
On the other hand, Hudson County, New Jersey was also an important filming location, with the crew lensing scenes Hudson County; Kearny (a suburb of Newark) and Hoboken (a city on the Hudson River) make it into an assortment of sequences. The Hoboken Girl reports that the crew was seen filming at the W Hotel at 225 River St, Hoboken, NJ 07030.

Both Santo Domingo and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic were used as filming spots; Santo Domingo is the capital.
Focusing on Punta Cana – a resort town in the easternmost region of the Republic – The Cinemaholic reports that some scenes were shot in and surrounding the neighborhood of Cap Cana.

‘It was a labor of love’
As you may know, The Best Man is a series sequel to The Best Man movies that began with Malcolm’s 1999 film The Best Man.
SlashFilm recently interviewed him and asked what it was like to bring the original cast back to close out the series with a final chapter:
“It was a labor of love. Trying to get everyone back together was not easy. They’re all very successful working actors, and it’s hard to get everybody scheduled around the same time. There was no lack of desire on their part to want to be in the franchise and close out the series, but it’s the demands of their own schedules that was tough.”
He added: “So it’s great that we were able to accomplish that, because it’s not an easy task.”
The Best Man: The Final Chapters is now streaming on Peacock.
