THE RACE
Scheduled for April 28th 2024, the iconic route starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking you under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of Manhattan.
From there, the route heads up the historic concourses of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn before finishing in Prospect Park.

THE COURSE
The USATF-certified course* will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system. There will be timing (split) points and clocks throughout the course. Water, Lemon Lime Nuun Endurance, and restrooms will be available approximately every 1.5 miles. Medical support will be available throughout the course.
The Prospect Park Track Club will be providing pace teams for for 1:30 – 3:30 paces.

THE AMENITIES

Your friends can track you and you can revisit your race by checking out the app and digging on the photos taken along the course and at the finish line! You will receive an email from MarathonFoto several days after the race with information about how to purchase photos or you can get them now at the best price! Secure ALL your digital photos from the 2024 NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon now, and all you’ll need to do on race day is smile.
There will be no race day bag check – bag check will be available at the Expo only. If you plan on checking a bag, you must use the single clear bag provided by NYCRUNS. You may not put another full bag/backpack/briefcase inside the clear bag. All items must fit inside the clear bag. NYCRUNS reserves the right to search your bag at any time. Bags will be available to pickup in Prospect Park at approximately 8:30 AM.
*In order to cut down on waste, we avoid ordering more than we need; thus, sizes are not guaranteed.

Race credit may be used to pay for up to 50% of this race.

Can’t make it to the Expo? Purchase Bib & Shirt Mailing and you will receive your gear about two weeks before the race. Bibs and shirts will only be mailed domestically for $35.

The finish line and festival at the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon is a secure area. Finish Line Access Passes are the only way for family members and friends to join you in the moment and hang out at the festival with you.

EXPO
You must pick up your race bib and t-shirt in-person at the Expo, unless you signed up for a VIP package which includes bib mailing. Bib pickup will not be available on race morning, and you may not run without a bib.
RESULTS, PRIZE MONEY, & AWARDS
Results will be emailed and the full results will be posted on our results page after the race. If you do not see your result online or receive an email with your finish time, please fill out this form.
Awards will be given to the top three overall male, female and non-binary finishers as well as the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over. Qualified elite athletes will be automatically granted complimentary entry and entrance to the elite corral if they meet the following standards which may be revised before the program is open:
Women: Between 1/1/2023 and 2/28/2024, you must have run a time below 1:20 in a half marathon. The qualifying course must be certified and the results verifiable. Your gender for the qualifying race must match your gender choice for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.

Men: Between 1/1/2023 and 2/28/2025, you must have run a time below 1:10 in a half marathon. The qualifying course must be certified and the results verifiable. Your gender for the qualifying race must match your gender choice for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
Non-Binary/Gender Non-Conforming: Between 1/1/2023 and 2/28/2024, you must have run a time below 1:20 in a half marathon. The qualifying course must be certified and the results verifiable. Your gender for the qualifying race must match your gender choice for the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
Should you not have been able to register as NB/GNC for a given race, please supply a broader history indicating you have been competing as NB/GNC where possible.
Prize money will only be awarded to athletes who complete the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon in a gun time faster than the qualifying time outlined above. Athletes may be subject to drug testing and other validation as deemed necessary to ensure a fair and equal field.
Prize money will be distributed as follows:
First Place: $2,500 Second Place: $1,250 Third Place: $750 Fourth Place: $500 Fifth Place: $250 Sixth – Tenth Place: $100

DIRECTIONS
Please take public transportation if possible. The L train to Bedford Avenue and G train to Metropolitan Avenue are closest to the start. Please check mta.info for the most up to date information on public transportation.
Driving is not recommended due to limited street parking and the point to point nature of the course.
POLICIES
The standard no-refunds, no-transfers policy applies. Withdrawals for race credit are only applicable to those signed up for the NYCRUNS Membership Program.
Strollers and dogs are not allowed in NYCRUNS races.
You may be disqualified if earbuds or headphones hinder your awareness.
You must remain on pace to finish within the time limit in order to receive course support and an official finish time. Should you fall behind pace, you may be directed off the course by a race marshal.
