If it’s not finals’ week at your university, it probably will be. We all know (except Freshmen, sorry friends) that finals’ week can be pretty brutal. All nights, liters of Starbucks, piles of notes you don’t even remember writing. It can be a real whirlwind. What is a student to do during this hectic time? One of the best things you can do is call upon Archangel Uriel, the Angel of Wisdom.

One of the best times to invoke Archangel Uriel is when you’re sitting in a little cubicle in your school’s library, book(s) open, notes out, just beginning to study. He will help you remain focused and attentive during your study time so that you can use your time wisely. You may even begin to feel him guide you in your studies to what is most important and what is expected on the test. (While studying, it might be a good idea to invoke Archangel Michael to protect you from outside distraction as well.)

A prayer to help with studying:

“Dear Archangel Uriel, please help me focus while studying for this _________ exam. Please guide me to the important facts, and help me commit the information to memory. And to Archangel Michael, during this time of study, please protect me from outside, negative distractions. Amen.”

Another time to invoke Archangel Uriel is during your test. He can help to guide you to the right answers, however, do not rely on Uriel solely as your way of taking a test. Hard work and studying (while invoking Uriel) can make a world of difference on your test as well. Often, as a way of both invoking Uriel and simultaneously thanking him, I tie a red ribbon onto my pen or pencil that I’ll be using for the test. It helps to remind me that Uriel is with me and I do not need to be afraid.

A prayer to say during a test:

“Dear Archangel Uriel, please come to my assistance during this test. I know that you are beside me now, guiding me to the correct responses that we studied earlier. Please help my knowledge flow through my pen/pencil and onto the paper. Amen.”

Do you get anxious before a test? During a test? After a test? Archangel Uriel can help with that! Simply say a prayer such as:

“Dear Archangel Uriel, please help me release my anxiety about this test. Please allow me to heal from this destructive emotion, for I know you are by my side. Amen.”

After saying this prayer, it may help to take a few deep breaths, holding each breath for a couple of seconds. It may even help to repeat the prayer until you feel completely at ease. I, for one, have terrible test anxiety, and need to repeat the prayer over and over and over until I feel easy once again. If you feel anxious much of the time, you may need to take up a yoga practice or see a licensed therapist, in conjunction with invoking Archangel Uriel.
