Is TJ Maxx open on New Year’s Day?

TJ Maxx announced that its stores will be open on New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2024.

TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods will all be open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, allowing shoppers to purchase items at their leisure.

On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, most US locations will be open from 9 am to 9 pm local time.

Stores will remain open at normal operating hours, allowing customers to spend their Christmas cash or use their new gift cards for their purchases.

However, hours could vary based on store and state, so it is worth checking your local store for specific hours.

The store does, however, close for a few days throughout the year.

While TJ Maxx remains open on Christmas Eve, the store closes down for Christmas Day.

Besides shutting down for Christmas, the store is also closed for Thanksgiving.

A TJ Maxx spokesperson confirmed to The U.S. Sun: “We consider ourselves an Associate-friendly company and we are pleased to give Associates the time to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends.”

However, most TJ Maxx stores are scheduled to open at 7 am for Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

TJ Maxx is also closed on Easter Sunday.

These closures typically apply to all stores under the TJX Companies, Inc. umbrella, including HomeGoods and Marshalls.
