The sheets of rain caused flooding in several areas and motorists were urged to use caution on several roads, Interstate 93 in Somerville.
“The rain will get out of here pretty quickly. But there will still be some wind to content with. We will see gusts over 50 mph,” StormTeam 5 chief meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon said.
