Which Heathrow Terminal For Virgin Atlantic

Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 3 is back open serving passengers on both long and short-haul routes. The terminal, first opened in 1961, was temporarily shut at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

The terminal began reopening in July 2021, starting with Virgin Atlantic, which is based at Terminal 3. Virgin is one of many major airlines that use the terminal. All of its Heathrow flights arrive and depart from Terminal 3, as do Emirates’. KLM and Air France moved their operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 last year. Australia’s airline, Qantas, is also based at Terminal 3.

Some airlines use multiple terminals, they include British Airways, who also use Terminal 5 in London and the UK’s biggest airport.

Heathrow Airport advises arriving three hours in advance of flights.

Which airlines fly from London Heathrow Terminal 3

Virgin Atlantic and Emirates both have their London bases at Heathrow Terminal 3, with flights departing and arriving from the terminal. Air France and Dutch airline KLM also fly from Terminal 3.

British Airways runs some flights from Terminal 3, but also uses Terminal 5. Other airlines flying from Terminal 3 include Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian, Sri Lankan Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines, Iran Air, Pakistan International Airlines, Philippine Airlines, LATAM, Delta, Kenya Airways, Korean Air and Middle East Airlines.

London Heathrow Terminal 3 car parking charges

Terminal 3 offers short and long stay parking. Long stay parking starts from £34.70. There is a shuttle bus to the terminal which takes around 10 minutes.

Short stay parking charges start at £5.30 for 30 minutes. Heathrow says it is a two-minute walk from the short stay car park to the terminal building.

Heathrow Terminal 3 passenger drop-off charge

There is a drop-off area right outside Terminal 3. It costs £5 per vehicle to enter the drop-off point

Heathrow Terminal 3 passenger pick-up charge

You can not pick up passengers from the drop-off point. Instead, Heathrow asks you to arrange to pick up people from the short stay car park. A £5.30 charge for 30 minutes will apply.

Heathrow Terminal 3 transport, London Underground and bus

Terminal 3 has its own London Underground station on the Piccadilly Line. Heathrow’s Central Bus station serves the terminal, which is connected to Terminal 2 through an underground walkway.

Passengers can use the London Underground and shuttle trains to connect to terminals 4 and 5. The Underground asks for Oyster or payment cards, but passengers won’t be charged for journeys between terminals.
