Known as the basic SYNC system, this version consists of a 4.2-inch color cluster display or horizontal two-line display that provides simple information such as caller ID, song titles, a digital clock, and temperature. When utilizing this system, you can make hands-free calls, have voice control of your media player, and use the SYNC AppLink™ if it’s available.
SYNC with Voice-Activated Navigation
This enhanced version of the original contains a color navigation screen in the center console that displays 3D maps and landmark icons. Including the same features as the basic system, besides AppLink, this SYNC also has voice-activated navigation as well as HD Radio™48.
SYNC with MyFord Touch
Allowing for more interaction, this SYNC consists of an 8-inch color touchscreen in the center console. Besides being able to perform the same duties as the basic SYNC, except for AppLink, you also gain a media hub with two USB ports, SD card reader, and input jacks, as well as five-way controls on the steering wheel.

Delivering capacitive touch technology, you can control the features on this SYNC with just a light tap, swipe, or pinch on the 6.5 or 8-inch color touchscreen. You’ll have easy-to-read text and icons right at your fingertips for practical use and will be impressed by the quick response the touchscreen provides. While it still contains the same functions as the original version, this one includes an available navigation system, enhanced voice recognition, and five-way controls on the steering wheel.
