A few places, actually! Most of the locations reside in North Texas, specifically the cities Fort Worth, Glen Rose, Weatherford, Stephenville and Strawn—according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
North Texas is where Yellowstone prequel 1883 shot many of its scenes! That’s not to say that North Texas makes up all of the filming locations for Lawmen: Bass Reeves, though it’s the confirmed list we have right now.
Did Lawmen: Bass Reeves film at Taylor Sheridan’s ranch?
Yep! Sheridan owns Bosque Ranch over in Weatherford, Texas—with some of the scenes being shot there. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, though! For one, there have been some social media posts made in the past of David Oyelowo alongside some other Yellowstone franchise cast members over at the ranch.

This was likely a “Cowboy Camp”taking place, which Sheridan regularly takes his Yellowstone cast members to ahead of filming. That only adds more validity to this fact, making us all the more excited for the show!
