I will never forget when Kris and I first started dating, (cough over 20 years ago) he surprised me with a pair of overalls I had been coveting. I wore them forever and honestly I don’t think it was that long ago when I finally got rid of them. Yes, I am the sentimental one in our relationship. Overalls are one of the absolute best items to own as a Momma! I am not going to lie, I have been pushing back on this trend for a while now. But now I am kicking myself for waiting this long to hop on the overalls train. They are fun, comfortable, and stylish coming in DENIM to TERRY CLOTH. They fit my lifestyle and I never have to worry about anything hanging out as a run after the kiddos. I know all you mommas know what I am talking about!

There are so many reasons to love overalls. My top reason being, you can style overalls in a million and one ways without looking like the Farmer in the Dell! The options are just about endless. They will make you look like you spent hours styling when in all reality it only took a few minutes.

What To Wear Under Overalls
I think the better statement is what not to wear under overalls, because you can literally wear just about anything under your overalls. GRAPHIC TEES are huge right now and provide an edge under your overalls. Bodysuits are perfect under your overalls because you never have to worry about your shirt getting all bunched up. They will always lay perfectly under the overalls. It is also so fun to think outside the box and also layer your overalls with a LONG CARDIGAN or even a bright and funky KIMONO. With the weather right now in Florida, layers are my best friend. So why now layer my favorite overalls as well. Or even wrap you favorite FLANNEL SHIRT around your waist!

As a busy momma, COMFORT is always key. Tennis shoes or Birkenstocks are my preferred shoe when it comes to overalls. Brydon likes to give me a hard time about how many pair of tennis shoes I own, but deep down I know they’re are about 5 (or more) other pair I would love to own! The leather or coated overalls are amazing with a POINTED HEEL BOOTIE. It is such a sharp and edgy look.
When & Where to Rock Overalls
You can rock your overalls anytime. They are perfect in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter! One of my favorite looks lately for the winter is a CHUNKY TURTLENECK under the overall. For a laid back vibe, I will be sporting my pair of overalls with my favorite TANK (I own several of these tanks and have had them well over 3 years – the BEST) this Spring.
