Who Has Daisy De La Hoya Dated

Former VH1 dating reality star Daisy de la Hoya has opened up about the death of Corey Haim, whom she had been seeing romantically at the time of his death on Wednesday morning due to pulmonary congestion. “I was supposed to see him at some point later on in this week,” a very emotional Daisy told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts on Thursday. “God, this wasn’t part of the plan.” Daisy, who previously starred on “Rock of Love” where she failed to find love with Bret Michaels, and later her own dating reality show, “Daisy of Love,” revealed she met Haim through his longtime friend Corey Feldman and Feldman’s wife, Susie, just last month at a Super Bowl party. The two had begun seeing each other and things were going well. “I just had a really rough year with a relationship; I guess he had been doing the same so it was sort of like, I just I didn’t expect anything and, you know, I would have liked to have made the situation a happy ending, but I think that we never had that time to really do that,” Daisy told Tony. “That’s what I was trying to go for, but I guess I never ever expected or even thought of this situation.” Despite the introduction by Feldman and his wife, Daisy said Feldman also warned the pint-sized blonde about his longtime pal. “He had his reservations… but I was just like… ‘I really like this guy a lot and… I feel like he needs a positive person in his life because I don’t feel like he has that a lot [of them]. So I don’t care what anyone else says about this or how you feel about this personally and I know you’ve been friends with him for 20 years or whatever it is and you’ve had your ups and downs but I feel like I want to be there and like show this person that he is really awesome,'” Daisy said. Daisy said Feldman’s reservations were because he wanted to look out for both of his friends. “They’ve been friends for a long time and he’s dealt with a lot of his demons… He’s had to be there and he basically told me, ‘I’ve tried to save this person for years and you’re just gonna set yourself up for heartache,'” Daisy recounted. But despite the warning, Daisy said she not only liked Haim romantically, she wanted to help him with the loneliness she said she saw in his eyes and the demons he always fought. “I always want to see the good in people,” Daisy said. “I have dealt with those issues myself so when I see myself in somebody, I recognize those demons and I want to be there to help people so I naturally always flock to the wounded birds.” When asked what demons she’s had to deal with that are similar to Haim’s, Daisy said there have been a few. “I’ve dealt with my own addictions and being lonely and not having people there for you — especially in your time of need,” she said. “One [person] can make the world of difference and that’s why I find it important that if you see someone and they’re struggling, reach out because you never know what a difference that can make in someone’s life and that has always been my motto.” Daisy said she never met Haim’s mother, Judy Haim, but she was aware how much her son adored her. “I’m very, very sorry for her loss, but I do know that he definitely loved his mom a ton. That was his number one priority in his life,” Daisy said.
