Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival

Always held on Father’s Day weekend, this event celebrates Duck Tape, its enthusiasts and its wacky and fun uses. The festival also honors the history and heritage of the city that is proclaimed the “Duck Tape Capital” of the world, Avon, Ohio—the home of Duck brand duct tape.

Elyria Apple Festival

FireFish Art Festival

The first FireFish Festival was staged in 2015, celebrating the region’s freshwater link to Lake Erie and the Black river and its storied industrial heritage. Drawing more than 10,000 visitors and showcasing art, dance, and theater, it culminated in a dramatic pyrotechnics display.

Lorain County Fair

Begun in 1846 and located in Wellington, Ohio, the Lorain County Fair is Ohio’s second largest county fair. The goal of the Fair has always been to educate people about animals and to hold a family-oriented event representing high standards set over many years. The fair is always held in August two weeks before Labor Day. Come out and see why many visitors consider the Lorain County Fair the best!

Lorain International Festival

The Lorain International Festival and Bazaar is the premier event of the summer for Lorain, Ohio. The week-long festival begins the last full week of June every year, with numerous separate events taking place mainly in downtown Lorain. Various nationalities, cultures and our community are celebrated with the sharing of gifts from our many homelands through food, music, costume and tradition.

North Ridgeville Corn Festival

What started out as N. Ridgeville’s observance of the country’s bicentennial has turned into a three day fete complete with great live entertainment, corn eating contest, and the Grand Parade. Last year, thousands of ears of corn were steamed, roasted, and consumed. The annual Corn Festival offers FREE admission, FREE entertainment, FREE parking and it is “Always the Second Weekend in August!”

Rockin’ on the River is Northeast Ohio’s longest running and highest attended outdoor concert series at Black River Landing in Lorain, Ohio! The Summer Market

The Summer Market is a curated grouping of artists, makers, pickers, collectors, growers and foodies selling their wares in a gorgeous and spacious riverside park. Picture lots of green space set along the Black River, a concert stage with live music and lots of grass for blankets, a Farmer’s Market reminiscent of the West Side Market, a Docktail Bar so you can sip drinks while you are shopping, more dining options along with activities and events on the river, over 125 carefully curated vendors, ample parking and lots more!

Vermilion Beach Market

Be a part of the sixth annual Vermilion Beach Market at Sherod Park August 5 (3-8) and August 6 (9-4), 2022. Woollybear Festival

The annual Woollybear Festival is held every Fall in downtown Vermilion, Ohio, on Lake Erie. The one-day, family event, which began in 1973, features a woolly bear costume contest in which children, even pets, are dressed up as various renditions of the woolly bear caterpillar.
