Amazon MGM Studios and Michael B. Jordan’s hip production house, Outlier Society, are sprinkling their magic over it. And get this—Rebecca Yarros, the genius behind the books, spilled the beans on Instagram that she’s diving into the executive producer’s chair too!
Outlier is teaming up with Amazon under a glitzy deal signed in 2021, and they’re bringing in Rebecca Yarros and Liz Pelletier from Entangled Publishing as EPs too.

If this on-screen adaptation sets our hearts racing (and I bet it will), word on the street is that each book in Yarros’ saga might just get its own TV spotlight. Wouldn’t that be epic?
So many epic news just one week before the Iron Flame release! We currently don’t have any details on when we can expect Fourth Wing series to be released. We can only hope it will be soon!
Now, let’s talk about popularity. Fourth Wing’ blasted into the scene earlier this year and millions of copies have flown off the shelves in 40+ languages! We all sort of knew that it will become a series or a movie, we just didn’t really think it will happen SO SOON!
Want some accolades to sweeten the deal? It’s been a Barnes & Noble and Indigo Best Book of 2023, snagged a spot on the New York Times Bestseller list for 25 weeks, and even conquered Amazon’s charts! TikTok is ablaze with hashtags, and Iron Flame already has midnight releases and sold-out book tour events in the pipeline.
So who is Michael B Jordan and what’s the deal with Outlier Society? For those of you who don’t know, Michael Bakari Jordan is a multi-talented American actor whose body of work has established him as one of the most compelling performers of his generation. Initially gaining recognition in television roles, such as Wallace in HBO’s The Wire, Jordan moved on to impactful film roles that earned critical acclaim. He is perhaps best known for his collaborations with director Ryan Coogler, starring in films like Fruitvale Station, Creed, and the blockbuster Black Panther, where he portrayed the complex villain Erik Killmonger.

In addition to acting, Jordan made his directorial debut with Creed III, released in 2023. He has been lauded with numerous accolades, including being named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world. As of March 2022, Jordan will produce and star in the sequel of I Am Legend with Will Smith.
Meanwhile, his production company Outlier Society is also on a roll. Hot on the heels of their record-smashing ‘Creed III,’ they’re producing more stunners like ‘The Dwelling’ and ‘Iron Curtain,’ and they’re even bringing in big-shot producers like Christopher McQuarrie.
Last but not least, a huge shoutout to Entangled Publishing, the powerhouse behind Fourth Wing. Founded in 2011, it’s a major player in the publishing scene, 100% owned by kickass women and distributed by Macmillan.
