Where Do They Sell Pierogies

We. Love. Pierogies. We don’t care if they’re racing around the bases at a Pirates game, if we’re using a bar of soap shaped like one, or if we’re about to dig into a hot plate full of them. We love them so much we shared an article about how much Pittsburgh loves them! And Lent is the perfect time to stock our freezers and fill our bellies with pierogies.

Cop Out Pierogies

Cop Out Pierogies is located in Etna, although you’ve probably eaten their pierogies at other local restaurants. They consider pierogies “edible bliss” and give you 14 pierogies in a “dozen”, so yes, we’ve found our people! They have a huge selection of fillings, and they’ll also create any filling you’re looking for that isn’t listed. Get them frozen or hot (or both), but make sure you get some!

Pierogies Plus

Pierogies Plus claims you’ll have to go to Warsaw or Krakow to find more authentic pierogies, and we tend to agree. You can find their pierogies at restaurants and local shops around the area, or you can get them hot or cold at their shop in McKees Rocks. Bonus: you can also shop online and have pierogies shipped to you! Or get them through GrubHub if you’re within 10 miles of the store. Basically, there’s no excuse to not eat these!

Forgotten Taste has two locations: in Wexford and Moon. They’re serving up homemade pierogies with all natural ingredients and no preservatives. They make their dough thinner so you get more of the filling in each pierogi, and we’re not sad about it! You can get their pierogies by the half or full dozen frozen and pre-cooked, or pick them up hot and ready to eat.

S&D Polish Deli

S&D Polish Deli has so much more than just pierogies – although their pierogies are darn good. If you’re looking for Polish meats, smoked kilebasy, bacons, kiszka, liver sausage, headcheeses, fresh sausage, hams, krakowska, zywiecka, and more…well, you know where to go. They also offer an online store with shipping and pickup options. Or maybe you want to learn to make pierogies yourself? Check out their cooking classes!

It wouldn’t be a pierogi article without mentioning Pittsburgh Pierogi Truck! While they serve their potato and cheese pierogies hot from the truck, they also offer nine flavors of frozen pierogie to stock your freezer. We love their generous portions and always get one of their combo meals. Find them Fridays during Lent at the Shaler Library, and check their schedule for the rest of the week!

Your local fish fry

Sometimes there’s nothing more comforting than a pierogi that’s been soaked in butter and onions. Double check menus before you go, because not every fish fry serves pierogies. Here’s an interactive map to help you track down every fish fry in the area.
