The lavish Los Angeles mansion where baseball legend Barry Bonds lived for over a decade has returned to the market with a feng shui makeover asking $33 million—but it still has some of the home run king’s decorative touch.
Mr. Bonds, 54, called the sprawling, seven-bedroom Mediterranean-style villa home from 2002 to 2014. It has changed hands twice since he lived there and undergone some restyling, but the owners have preserved a few of his most memorable adornments.

Those include romantic frescoes, reminiscent of ruins and the idyllic Italian countryside, which the record-setting baseball player had hand-painted in a column-lined corridor upstairs, images of the home show.
Other over-the-top amenities dating to Mr. Bond’s time include two large fish tanks built into the walls of a living room. And the home theater still looks as if it’s striving to be an Italian opera house, with plush red velvet stage curtains and a Trompe L’oeil wall painting.

A listing agent who represented a previous owner of the property once told Mansion Global Mr. Bonds had “very meticulous” style.
But the current owner made some significant renovations based on the advice of an expert in feng shui, said listing agent Tomer Fridman of Compass.
Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practice of arrangement and decoration to promote harmony, and in this case called for remodeling the mansion’s facade, changing the layout of the master bedroom and updating some of the colors inside of the home, Mr. Fridman said.
The new entryway features a pair of glass double doors surrounded by a decorative glass arch.
“It freshened it up a lot,” Mr. Fridman said.

The current owner is businessman Yongbin Luo, former chief executive of apparel manufacturer Oneworld Star International, who bought the compound with his wife in 2016 for $26.5 million, according to property records.
The couple have brightened what used to be a fairly dark kitchen, installing new cabinetry and slab white onyx countertops, and laying gray, multi-patterned tile.
They also added an ultra-expensive La Cornue Stove, which can sell for north of $50,000.

The owners bought the home expecting to spend most of their time in Los Angeles. But business has the couple traveling more than they expected, and it no longer makes sense to own a home in which they live for only a few months a year, Mr. Fridman said. Mr. Luo could not immediately be reached for comment.
The home comes with a long list of luxury amenities, many typical of the posh, gated neighborhood, Beverly Park. There’s a pool, separate guest house, tennis court and fitness center.
