You’re wearing the wrong size.

The larger the the band size is, the straps are going to be set wider in the back to accommodate larger women.

The smaller the band size, the straps are going to be set more narrow in the back to accommodate petite women.

If your straps are falling off your shoulders, your band size is likely too big and you need to go down a band size.

When you do this, it’s important to remember whenever you go down a band size you need to go up in a cup size to compensate the difference.

Let’s say you wear a 36C. When you go down a band size you wear a 34D. Now this is only the case if the C cup in the 36 band is fitting correctly. It’s important to note that majority of women we fit, the cup size they’re currently wearing doesn’t fit, so we go up several cup sizes to get their correct bra size.

You’re wearing the wrong style.

If you’re petite or have narrow shoulders, avoid balconette styles. The straps are often too wide-set for your frame and will slide off, even when tightened correctly.

There’s some other things to keep in mind. The first thing I would do if your straps are constantly falling off your shoulders, tighten them. How do you know if they’re tight enough? If you can place two fingers between your strap and skin and not move it easily, your straps are snug. If you can move your two fingers around easily, this means it’s too loose.

You’re wearing the band incorrectly.

Another strap issue can be caused by too high of a band. If your band is loose, it will slide up and the straps won’t be able to anchor the bra to you. As your bra stretches and wears, don’t just tighten the straps, tighten the band first.

Make sure your band is low and snug on your back. Once it is low enough, then adjust the straps to be tight enough to not fall off.

Repeat this adjustment every few months as the bra stretches.
