Actor Kevin Spacey’s waterfront residence in Baltimore is set to go under the hammer in a foreclosure auction scheduled for Feb. 29.
The auction details, including the exact time, are yet to be disclosed — as reported by the debt collection firm McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, which is handling the proceedings.

Spacey’s connection to the property dates to 2017, when a limited liability company linked to the actor acquired the apartment for $5.65 million.
The true ownership of the home remained a mystery for some time until Spacey faced numerous sexual misconduct allegations against other men in the US and the United Kingdom.
The revelation about Spacey’s ownership came to light during a Manhattan court case, in which he disclosed that the dwelling served as his permanent residence.

The LLC was used, Spacey claimed, to safeguard his privacy amid the controversies surrounding him. Charlie Hatter of Monument Sotheby’s International Real Estate sold the property to Spacey at the time.
While the exact time for the auction remains undisclosed, such events typically take place on the steps of the Baltimore Circuit Court.
Prospective buyers will need to submit a deposit, with the amount yet to be determined. The starting bid will only be revealed at the commencement of the auction.
Despite being found not liable in the Manhattan case and acquitted of sexual offense charges in a London trial, Spacey’s home has been facing foreclosure for more than a year with no resolution.
Spacey still has time to pay off the mortgage and avoid the foreclosure altogether.
However, court records obtained by the Baltimore Banner, which was first to report on the auction, indicate that a mediation session held in August failed to produce a settlement.

The spread, previously marketed as a “magnificent mansion on the water,” boasts more than 9,000 square feet of space, six bedrooms, an elevator, a sauna, a home theater and multiple verandas.
Spacey’s notable works include the 1999 film “American Beauty” and his role as Frank Underwood in the Netflix series “House of Cards,” much of which was filmed in the Baltimore area.
Known for keeping a low profile in Baltimore, Spacey occasionally attracts attention while walking his dog.
Last year, he surprised patrons at the Keystone Korner Baltimore jazz club by taking the stage unannounced to sing.
Apart from such moments, the actor has maintained somewhat of an online presence through his Christmas messages performed on X in the character of Frank Underwood, which happened annually until 2020. But most recently, Spacey resurfaced on the platform this past Christmas Eve in an interview with Tucker Carlson.
“What’s true, what’s fake?,” he told Carlson. “What’s life, what’s art? What’s real, what’s performance? I love it when these things intersect because then it gets interesting.”
