We must first make sure that everything on our side is working properly. To begin, check the system requirements to make sure you have the necessary hardware to run Diablo 4. Next, update graphics driver if your graphics drivers are not up to date. Then, try this:
- First, make sure that the servers are live and not down or under maintenance. Diablo’s Support Page and Twitter are good sources of information for that.
- Then proceed with the usual checking if your own internet connection is stable.
- Reset your modem/router.
- Switch to a wired connection, if you are using a wireless one. Being connected via ethernet cable can lead to a more stable connection.
- Reboot the whole game.
- Try playing outside of peak hours in your area.

How To Disable Cross-Play In Diablo 4
Cross-playing allows PC and console gamers to play together and is turned on by default. That, naturally, brings a lot of players with it. Disabling it will reduce the number of players around you but may also reduce lag. To do so, in the Character Selection screen select Options and then the Social tab. There find Cross-Network Play and disable it. That should do it.
