Forget Glastonbury, if there’s one music event I’m currently planning my whole life around, it’s Lana Del Rey at BST Hyde Park. While anyone who’s a ride-or-die Lana fan won’t need any preparation when it comes to knowing the setlist inside out and back to front, planning ahead for your outfit and makeup is a must.
Luckily, my makeup looks are covered between our guide to festival beauty inspiration and beauty columnist Rose Gallagher’s round-up of the best celebrity Glastonbury makeup looks (Lana obviously included). But if you thought securing a ticket was the hard part, I’m sorry to break it to you, but getting an outfit prepped for an outdoor concert in the British summertime? A trickier feat.

For starters, the weather is never going to be a sure thing. Then you’ve got to factor in comfort; if you’re going to be standing in the crowd for hours, you don’t want to be distracted by an itchy fabric or stiff jeans that are impossible to wrangle off in a portaloo. And while you might not be off to the races, you’ll still want to be serving an unforgettable look.
Years of being a loyal fangirl of both Lana and fashion have been loading up to this moment. Whether you want to channel your Born To Die Americana era, or are looking to feel shades of cool, I’ve rounded up the greatest outfit inspiration you could need for a Lana Del Rey concert, come rain, shine or thunder.
Born To Die
An outfit so good it’s to die for (figuratively, of course). Channel those hazy Americana days with this pared-back denim look, complete with cowboy boots and signature Lana hoop earrings.
Chemtrails Over The Country Club

Upgrade from just *wearing a white dress* and opt for a floral floating design that’s as comfortable as it is cute. Slip on a pair of jute wedges and some pearl-accent jewellery for a classic country club chic look. This phone strap not only keeps in line with the overall aesthetic but allows you to keep your phone at easy reach for snapping those all-important pictures.
National Anthem
Pledge your allegiance to the queen of sad-girl pop with a statement Lana t-shirt. Tuck this oversized tee into a long silk skirt and pair with chunky sandals to show that merch can be styled to look just as chic as any other outfit.
Down on the West Coast
If you’ve *got a burning desire* for the Californian sunshine, you can at least rely on your outfit to deliver the vibes with this flowing white dress and tan block heels that are comfortable enough to keep dancing in all night long.
Ultraviolence
Tap into your darker side in true *black beauty* style with this gothic look. Go for a slightly oversized leather jacket to sling over your shoulders when the cooler evening comes and pair with a leather buckle shoulder bag to nail the biker-chic aesthetic, sans Harley Davidson.
Blue Bannisters
*I guess you could call it textbook* that I’d be featuring a floral dress for a summertime concert, but this delicate pattern from Nobody’s Child is anything but basic. Wear with a matching headscarf to tie around your ponytail or neck for a modern twist on the prairie trend.
Honeymoon
All romance and lace, this elegant two-piece outfit wouldn’t look out of place being worn on your honeymoon along the Amalfi coast, but if there’s any artist that would approve of a white lace ensemble at a concert, it’s Lana.
Say Yes To Heave
*If you dance I’ll dance, and if you don’t I’ll dance anyway* in this adorable satin dress with a sweetheart neckline. Add some dainty fruit-inspired jewellery (cherries and peaches are a Del Rey dealbreaker) and a pair of cowboy boots for a Midwestern look.
