– What ever happened to the series “Hawkeye,” which starred Lee Horsley and Lynda Carter? Are they appearing in anything else?
“Hawkeye” ran its course after a single season of syndication, and there are no plans to revive it that we know of … but interestingly enough, both of its stars have new TV-movies that both will be shown this Wednesday. Horsley stars in CBS’ version of the LaVyrle Spencer story “Home Song,” playing a high-school principal and family man who’s shocked to learn that he fathered the son of an old acquaintance (Deborah Raffin); “thirtysomething” alumna Polly Draper is featured as his wife. Meanwhile, running directly opposite it in most markets is Carter’s new drama, the Lifetime cable offering “Lightning in a Bottle.” She portrays a woman who suffers amnesia in a car accident that killed two other people and left a youngster in a coma, then struggles to determine the exact cause of the tragedy. Carter also was featured recently in NBC’s “A Secret Between Friends: A Moment of Truth.”

– I have heard that “Knots Landing” was coming back, and that “Dallas” also was coming back as a TV-movie. Can you tell me when this will happen?
CBS already has the “Dallas” reunion project in production, so that’s certain to appear sooner than the “Knots Landing” revival which also is being planned only as a one-shot mini-series, rather than a weekly program and in fact, the “Dallas” venture (which reportedly will be subtitled “Who Killed J.R.?”) is virtually set for a May telecast. Despite his recent illness, Larry Hagman is back in front of the cameras as the Texas oil tycoon viewers love to hate, and Patrick Duffy (alias Bobby Ewing) and Ken Kercheval (a.k.a. Cliff Barnes) are among the other original stars participating. As for the “Knots Landing” project, a delay in the delivery of the script reportedly is what’s held up that effort. William Devane evidently has signed on to reprise the role of Greg Sumner, but word isn’t final on any of the other original stars’ involvement yet. Donna Mills, for one, has said that she wants to see the finished script first.
