Which Barstool Employees Are Moving To Chicago

I am on my 3rd trip to Chicago in the last 6 weeks since I got re-hired by Barstool Sports. I flew up here Monday for the MNF double header stream and to find myself a place to live. It is starting to get real!

Why did I decide to make the plunge and move to Chicago? Let’s break it down….

I flew to Chicago the day after I got hired back on August 8th to be on The Yak. And it honestly took all of 20 minutes to decide to move up here. Big Cat, Hank & PFT were all pushing for the move and who am I to turn them down?

I absolutely LOVE living in New Orleans! And this is not exactly a secret to anybody. But the writing is on the wall with working remote with PENN Gaming no longer in control. It just does not make sense to live in Nola without PENN properties or the Barstool Sportsbook App in Louisiana anymore.

The new Chicago office in the West Loop is going to be spectacular when it finally opens in mid-October. And so many of my favorite co-workers are here. I also realize I am lucky as hell to have a job here after everything that happened since May 1st.

I had only been to Chicago 4 times in my life before I decided to make the move. But I gotta say I am digging the vibes and energy. Barstool is huge here and I am getting recognized all over the place. The Midwest people seem extremely friendly too.

This is nowhere near as daunting as the move to New York 3 years ago during the middle of the COVID pandemic when I knew no one in the company. I have so many great relationships now and the utmost faith in Big Cat leading the charge up here.

I am making the move at the beginning of November in a little over 5 weeks. Everything was such a whirlwind in August but the move is now starting to sink in. And I think I found a place to live today!

I NEVER would have thought my 2nd Act at Barstool would lead me to Chicago a few months ago but life comes at you fast. Hopefully it ends up being Sweet Home Chicago to me!
