When Will Season 3 Of Ginny And Georgia Come Out

Warning: Spoilers for Ginny & Georgia season 2 ahead.

Get ready, peaches: Ginny & Georgia season 3 is officially on the way — and so is season 4!

The second season of Ginny & Georgia debuted at the top of 2023, almost two years after the show first hit Netflix. The coming-of-age drama/mystery series follows the story of a mother-daughter duo as they adjust to their new lives in a small Massachusetts suburb and the secrets that follow them wherever they go.

Ginny & Georgia made waves in 2021 when it trolled Gilmore Girls in its first teaser trailer and made even more buzz as a controversial fave with some notorious scenes (Oppression Olympics and unfortunate Taylor Swift joke, we’re looking at you) — but nevertheless, the show quickly became a Netflix hit, and season 2 was no exception.

Ginny & Georgia’s sophomore season held the streaming platform’s number 1 series spot on Netflix’s Top 10 TV Shows in the U.S. for two straight weeks and was praised for the way it portrayed mental health struggles and the increased presence of beloved characters like Ginny’s father Zion and Ginny’s classmate Bracia. Since then, fans have been dying to know whether Ginny & Georgia would be renewed for season 3, and not only do we have an answer now but also a potential release date guess.

After the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the timeline for when Netflix will release or even start production on Ginny & Georgia season 3 was a bit fuzzy, but it seems like we might have gotten some clues. In early February 2024, fans found an update announcing season 3 of Ginny and Georgia was set to begin filming in Toronto, Canada, this upcoming April.

Antonia Gentry herself posted confirmation that production for Ginny and Georgia season 3 had begun even earlier than we expected with her own very Instagram post. On March 29, Gentry posted a throwback picture with Diesel La Torraca (who plays her half-brother on the show) from season one. The next slide was a video of the duo saying goodbye after season 2 had wrapped, where Gentry can be heard saying, “Promise me that you won’t be taller than me by the time I see you again.” The third and final slide was a picture of two reunited on set for season 3, and, well, La Torraca couldn’t keep his promise.
