How to Find the Perfect Fit for Women’s Leather Gloves

Finding the perfect fit for your leather gloves is crucial, regardless of the type of gloves you’re looking for. Whether you need winter gloves, protective gloves, athletic gloves, driving gloves, or evening gloves, they should all fit like a second skin. This is particularly important for elegant evening gloves, as even the most beautiful outfit can be ruined by an oversized glove.

Measuring Your Hand for the Right Size

Determining the correct glove size is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is measure the circumference of your hand. This measurement will typically apply proportionally to all other dimensions of your hand. Using a measuring tape, measure the widest point of your bigger hand (usually your writing hand) excluding the thumb. Be cautious not to wrap the tape too tightly around your hand as this might result in a glove that is too small. In case you don’t have a measuring tape, a string or cable cord can be used instead. Simply measure the circumference as mentioned and then use a ruler or folding rule to determine your size.

Our sizing chart will help you find the perfect size. Premium leather gloves are typically labeled with numerical numbers, but we have also included S, M, L, and XL sizes for your convenience. If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend rounding off to the nearest half or full size. Please note that women’s and men’s gloves have different cuts and will differ in terms of finger diameter and elasticity. Checking the Size

When you first put on your gloves, they should fit tightly, as they will stretch and adjust to your hand over time. To check if you have the right size, slightly bend your fingers backwards. If you notice a slight crease by your knuckles (as shown in the picture), it means the gloves fit perfectly. If no crease appears, the gloves are too big. On the other hand, if you struggle to put on the gloves or feel restricted mobility in your fingers, they are too small.

Restoring the Original Fit

The cut and elasticity of the gloves are determined by the glove cutter. Since leather is a naturally elastic material, it can stretch with use. To restore the gloves’ elasticity, follow these steps: stretch the gloves by carefully pulling them over the edge of a table while holding the fingers in one hand and the opening of the glove in the other. Afterward, stretch each finger individually from the root to the fingertips.

Using and Storing Your Gloves

When putting on your leather gloves, gently pull them over your hand by gradually pulling down both the back and the palm of the glove towards your wrist. Avoid pushing down between the fingers. When removing your gloves, take off each finger individually before pulling off all fingers at once.

How to remove your gloves

To ensure the longevity of your gloves, it is recommended to let them rest between each wear to allow for complete drying. Store your gloves on a flat surface, keeping light and dark colors separated, and away from any heat sources such as the sun or heating devices.
