ABC’s popular dating series has entered its sunset years with The Golden Bachelor, which follows 72-year-old widower Gerry Turner in his quest for love. After its Sept. 28 premiere drew the biggest same-day audience since the franchise’s After the Final Rose episode last year, the show is now down to two contestants: 64-year-old fitness instructor Leslie Fhima and 70-year-old financial services professional Theresa Nist.
Hosted by Bachelor alum Jesse Palmer, the senior dating spinoff’s finale airs this Thursday at 8 p.m. PT/ET on ABC and will stream the following day on Hulu.

The Golden Bachelor‘s season finale airs Thursday at 8 p.m. PT/ET on ABC.
The episode will stream on Friday on Hulu, where the rest of the first season is available to watch on-demand. The Golden Bachelor‘s 22 contestants were “accomplished golden ladies” between 60 to 75 years old who took “time away from their established home lives, friends and family in the quest to rediscover love,” ABC said when the women were introduced. Among them was Patty James, the mother of Matt James from The Bachelor season 25.
The retired restaurateur was previously married for 43 years to his school sweetheart, Toni, who passed away suddenly in 2017 from a bacterial infection. In his primetime TV debut during The Bachelorette‘s season 20 reunion show, Turner explained that his expectations are different this time around: “What I look for at the age of 70 is different from what I looked for in high school and college. I believe I’ll find my person — the new person that will make me whole again. And I think we’ll knit a wonderful relationship. But I don’t think it’ll look like the relationship I had with Toni. And I don’t think it would be right to do it that way.”
