Sage’s Will is a collectible in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that allows players to strengthen their bond with the Sages.

However, there are five Sages available in Zelda TotK and players are not sure which one to upgrade.

In this guide, I will explain all Sage abilities in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and showcase which is the best Sage to upgrade in the game.

All Sages in Zelda TotK

There are five Sages in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and each has different abilities:

• Tulin – Summon a strong wind to knock back small enemies and boost players when Paragliding.
• Yunobo – Turn into a fiery ball and whirl towards enemies to burn them and knock them back.
• Sidon – Summons a barrier around Link which either protects against the next attack (only protects against one attack) or causes Link’s next attack to send out a wave of water.
• Riju – Causes a Lightning Strike at the marked location.
• Mineru – Summons a Zonai construct.

Using your hard-earned Sage’s Wills will upgrade the Sage ability that you choose and cause it to deal more damage. But which Sage should you upgrade?

Best Sage to Upgrade in Zelda TotK

Overall, the best Sage to upgrade in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is Tulin. By upgrading Tulin, players will increase its overall damage when using its ability.

While it won’t improve the boost given when Paragliding, the damage buff is more than enough since Tulin’s ability is an amazing tool when fighting any enemy.

Keep in mind that you will need four Sage’s Wills to upgrade a Sage ability once, so make sure to gather enough before trying to upgrade it.

Also, while Tulin has worked great for me, you may find another Sage ability to be more useful depending on your playstyle. In this case, you should upgrade your favorite Sage first as all five of them can be useful in the right hands.
