Can You Shower With Latex Glove

Something else that has done even more to help keep my nails strong is wearing gloves in the shower. My nails have gotten even stronger since I started doing so late in the fall or early in the winter last year, around December 2021. Also, I don’t have to sacrifice hot showers!

Before wearing gloves in the shower, I was just taking cooler showers. I’d been doing that since March 2021. However, as the weather got colder, I found myself dreading taking showers. I decided to buy some rubber gloves, but I didn’t start wearing them right away. As time went on, I finally decided to try them so I could take showers with warmer water. My first time wearing the gloves in the shower wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I didn’t know how it would be handling opening and closing containers, holding a razor, etc., but it ended up being just fine. I used a hanger with clips to hold the gloves by the fingers so they would have more of a chance to dry out in between showers. That first pair of gloves didn’t last very long, however, so I ended up buying a higher-quality pair. These held up for a much longer time, but tears started forming in the fingers on one of the gloves. Realizing it was the hand I was using to open the containers, I decided to start opening the containers with my bare hands before I put on the gloves and got into the shower. I’ve had my current pair for a few months now, and they have not shown any signs of wear and tear. In the months since December 2021, my nails have gotten even stronger than they were before I started wearing the gloves. Also, I get to enjoy a hot shower.

If you’re struggling with weak and brittle nails, and you love hot showers, it might not hurt to try wearing gloves while you shower. Make sure to buy a couple of pairs of premium rubber gloves in the correct size. If you’re like me and wear a small, you may have to order some online. It’s hard to find small-size rubber gloves where I live. Buying multiple pairs insures you have a backup in case something happens to the pair you’re currently using. Once you start using your backup pair, buy or order an additional set. Make sure you have something on which to hang your gloves so they can dry out as much as possible before your next shower. Use your bare hands to do things that could potentially damage your gloves, like opening containers. Hopefully following these steps will allow you to wear gloves in the shower successfully and eventually begin enjoying stronger nails.

I’m very happy that wearing gloves in the shower has worked well for me. My nails are stronger, and I can enjoy the hot showers that I’d been missing. Hopefully those of you who have issues with your nails and don’t want to give up hot, steamy showers can also benefit from wearing gloves in the shower.
