Glover first auditioned for “American Idol” in Charlotte, North Carolina, during the show’s ninth season. However, judge Simon Cowell made a comment saying that he could not see her being anything more than a lounge singer, and she was eliminated in the final 70 round. She then auditioned again in Savannah, Georgia during the show’s eleventh season, receiving a standing ovation from the judges for her performance “Someone like You” by Adele. She made it to Hollywood but was eliminated after the Group round, after her performance of “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore” by Buddy Holly.
